Booked on a Wednesday, on the Kathgodam platform by Friday. The trek lead briefed us properly before Day 1 and the summit morning felt calm even in fresh snow. First real winter trek and I'd go back.

The camps were warmer than I expected. Sleeping bags actually work at –8°C, and the food was hot and unlimited. Zero hidden charges — the invoice matched the website, which is rare.

Went with my parents (55+). The team paced the days to their comfort, kept the group together, and turned back the summit push by 30 minutes because of wind — a call I really respected. Brahmatal Lake in the ice was the trip of the year.

Trek itself was fantastic — Brahmatal in December is unreal. Losing one star only because our Delhi coach was late by 90 minutes on the return leg. Not the trek team's fault, but worth mentioning.

Third trek with BanBanjara. Still the same guides on the ground, still the same warm food, still the same clean camps. Reliability is underrated in this industry.

Wife had her first ever fall on snow near Bekaltal. The assistant guide walked next to her the rest of the day and taught her how to use the pole better — she summited on Day 4 without a scratch. Small acts, big memories.

The Kausani stop on the drive up was unexpected — sunrise view of Nanda Ghunti before we'd even started walking. Made the 9-hour drive feel worth it.

Group of six college friends. WhatsApp queries answered in minutes, exact pickup point shared a day before. Zero drama at Kathgodam station — that alone is worth the extra we paid over independent trekking.
